Need: VGT engaged with M3 Planning to take their existing strategic planning process to the next level. VGT was looking to refine their strategic direction and align corporate goals with department objectives.
Deliverables:

- A complete strategic plan resulting in 1- to 3- year priorities and goals that will shape and drive activities over the next 5-years.
- Alignment from corporate to individual through cascaded goals, creating department and team scorecards.

- An agile format for the plan that is referenced for staff work and decision-making.
Solution: Through assessment and facilitation, M3 worked with VGT to finalize the 2010 strategic plan, develop annual department plans, scorecards and performance measures. M3 also provided support communication for marketing VGT strategy to staff, stakeholders and citizens. M3 continues to support VGT through implementation management and strategy execution.
Result: The roadmap for implementation and management has been established and VGT is actively executing against their strategy. VGT is using MyStrategicPlan to manage their strategic plan and department scorecards. They are engaged in quarterly strategy review sessions and progressing with positive momentum.
